Manchester United are reportedly contemplating a surprising move for Ross Barkley in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Barkley appears to have found a new lease of life at Premier League newcomers Luton Town.

His standout performances for the Hatters have even sparked discussions about a potential call-up to the England squad for Euro 2024.

Despite Luton's battling for survival in the Premier League, Barkley has enjoyed a decent season individually, contributing significantly with three goals and three assists for Luton this season.

Should Luton face relegation from the top flight, Barkley could become available at a discounted rate.

According to sources from talkSPORT, Sir Jim Ratcliffe holds a favorable opinion of the former Chelsea and Everton midfielder, who also had a stint with Ratcliffe's Ligue 1 outfit Nice before joining Luton last summer.

Manchester United view Barkley as a potential replacement for Casemiro, whose performances have come under scrutiny.

The Brazilian midfielder was acquired for £70 million from Real Madrid in 2022, but it's believed that the new minority owner, Ratcliffe, is eager to offload him.
